[*] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide paper to digital document scanning service using scanning resolution at 300 dpi in single or multi-page PDF/A file format compressed with optimal character recognition (OCR) of text or intelligent character recognition (ICR) for hand-written documentation.
- Documents will be scanned in colour at 300 DPI.
- Duplex scan will be used to capture both front and back of documents where needed, omitting blank pages and bleed-through images.
- Brightness and contrast and other tools must be used to maximize the readability of the information contained in the scanned image.
- Scanned images must be oriented correctly for viewing.
- Text must be readable up to the edge of the document.
- Documents must be scanned in a manner that removes or minimizes skews and speckles.
- Black borders, hole-punch images and background colour drop out must be removed if possible.
- Contractor will make necessary annotations and make adjustments to the image such as rotate, clone, split etc. as needed. Contractor must also delete blank pages.
- The contractor can choose the name of the file as long as the name they give it is associated in the metadata file accompanying the batch.
(2) Approximate work volume will be 21,000 boxes (2300 documents in each box).
- 150 to 200 boxes per week.
